THE IMPORTANCE OF WRITING USEFUL DAILY REPORTS

Maintaining complete, comprehensive, detailing records of every process or deliverable items is fundamentally essential to the efficient control of the work, to the achievement of all Company and Project objectives and to the management of the potential risks and opportunities that could be encountered during the prosecution of the work. Any company is taking a significant risk if the Inspector, Supervisor or Leadsmen is unable to recognize that one of the greatest problems about the daily field report is that the information in them will not be needed if there is not an issue. However, when and if a problem arises the information logged on the Daily Field Report will be of great importance when dealing with the problem.
