The Importance of Vision
I find it to be incredibly helpful just to get outside, and even when I'm in the middle of a million phone calls in the middle of the day, it's nice just to get outside and move. It has been an absolutely incredible week, and so far, an incredible year. Everything that's going on with Avrio, with Biotesting Labs, and with the direction we're going has been absolutely incredible. We have been able to form some really cool partnerships with companies all over the world. One of the things that I went into the end of 2020 thinking about and working on is the importance of having a vision of what you're working towards.
This got me thinking about what I’m doing with Avrio. Our vision is to reverse the declining fertility rate around the world and make it possible for everyone to fulfill their dreams of becoming parents. And I set that vision as a huge vision - to go out and change the whole world by reversing the declining fertility rate. And while it's a huge ambition, I believe by having that vision in the past two weeks alone, we've been able to accomplish so much. We are setting up services and connections and tests and therapies that can be delivered directly to patients at home and provide education and action surrounding that.
It's been surreal to see all of this coming together. And it's all because of that vision we have. It's not just a make-believe vision. It's something that deeply, deeply matters to me and to everyone around me. I really love and care about every single thing we do. I care deeply about every life we touch. In fact, when I started working in the laboratory industry back in 2005, the reason that I stayed in this same industry for all of this time is that I really fell in love with the diagnostic lab world and the women's health and reproductive health world.
I realized that every email I sent, every text I sent, every sample that we received to test, every report we issued, was impacting somebody's life (a real person's life) and that we were making a difference for them. That has always lit a fire in me and given me a passion to do what I do and to lead my company and to be able to work with everyone around me and touch so many people in the world. So, I just wanted to talk about the importance of having a vision and allowing that vision to have meaning in your life. It makes a tremendous difference and that's exactly how we're going to impact the world. And I truly believe that we will reverse the declining fertility rate in the coming years. So, here's a better tomorrow.
