The importance of talking
Last Thursday was 'Time to Talk' day where the aim was to 'start conversations about mental health and help end the stigma. A small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference. We know that the more conversations we have, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down, helping to end the isolation, shame and worthlessness that too many of us with mental health problems are made to feel.'
Time to Talk day on SIRPA
Zoe and I had a conversation between us on Facebook Live on our SIRPA page about the ups and downs we have had over the past year.
We also talked about what we have found has helped us cope with all the challenges we've experienced.
Tatyana talks about how she regained her life
You might well have heard Tatyana talk about her recovery from chronic pain in a Facebook Live Q&A I did with her a few months ago.
Now Tatyana has published her own video on YouTube about her journey because she is so keen to 'give back' and help others.
It's a wonderfully inspiring video where she shows just how active she is now and it's well worth a watch.
Join Gemma for a live Q&A
Join us on SIRPA's Facebook page this Thursday 11th Feb at 12pm GMT to hear Gemma talk about how she changed her life around after 10 years of low back pain.
I hope you find these inspiring as you continue to cope with whatever challenges you are facing due to CV-19.
Be brave, show your vulnerabilities to someone you trust, keep communicating and don't bottle things up.
