Importance of proper CV

Many teams people just shoot CV with any random name or proper description. This not only leads to a casual look but also leads the hiring manager to drop that CV.

Please make sure to keep a note of these points when you share your cover letter and CV:

1. Don't just name your resume as: "Resume." or things like this - "resume.doc, profile.doc, mr.xyz.com

2. Proofread your resume: Many resumes have spelling mistakes. This will give the hiring manager an impression that you don't check your work and you don't pay attention to detail.

3. Share your CV as a PDF: Not everyone uses the same operating system and word processor that you do. People may use Mac/Linux also which won't have the windows word version. It leads to resumes getting garbled display.

The best way for a resume is to:

1. First and foremost proper name of the document. Example- John_Doe_6years_VAPT.docx. (This gives an idea of your name, profile as well as experience level in one go)

2. Keep it short and crisp (1-2 pages should suffice)

3. Keep a career objective- Broadly showing your key passion, interest, and your reason for the next job switch

4. Keep catchy yet brief bullets points on your job roles

5. Avoid extra details like father's names/mother's name etc. These can always be provided later on during background checks if needed.
