The Importance Physical Fitness Plays Into Wealth

The Importance Physical Fitness Plays Into Wealth

I want to talk to you about physical fitness and health. I help clients gain more knowledge on money, make more money, keep more of it, and multiply what they’ve been keeping so that they can live a life of abundance and prosperity. In essence, my topic is wealth. Physical health is part of wealth and I want to share with you the emphasis I place on it within my own life and my own wealth.

I’ve always been an active person. I remember as a kid, I loved sports. I was involved in basketball, wrestling, football, cross country, and bodybuilding. I was never the star athlete, but I was always the hardest worker and the fastest. I did the usual school sports as I mentioned and at the age of 16, I began my career in bodybuilding. It became my obsession in school. I was a competitor too. In 2010 I was the Jr. Mr. Anchorage title and went on to compete in a few more shows. I was also a personal trainer for about a year. To say the least, physical health was my priority. But I had no money.

As I began in business, I can recall making my physical health a priority. But it was at the cost of my success. I was spending 2-3 hours per day in the gym, eating 5-7 meals per day and spending more money on supplements than I was marketing my business. I was physically healthy and fit, but I did not have wealth. This is important to realize because if you have to lose in one area to win in the other, you don’t have wealth. I was losing financially to win physically and I was losing in my business as well. The result is that I couldn’t afford to keep focusing on my physical health. Because I was losing financially, I couldn’t afford the grocery and supplement budget. I remember realizing I had to cut back. No more steaks and premium groceries. I was back down to tuna, chicken, and protein shakes. I realized my lack of focus on business was actually negatively effecting my fitness because of the fact that I needed money to eat and I needed to eat to make money.

This caused me to focus more on business more. Because of my lack of skill, I didn’t know how to focus on business without sacrificing my health. I began buying the cheapest groceries, eating out a lot, grabbing sugary coffees at all of my meetings, and really eating based on what was easy and tasted good. I way hustling hard. I was getting home late, sleeping in, and not working out. I’d grab coffee for breakfast and hope there were some donuts at the office. I’d be at appointments until 10 or 11 pm and grab fast food on the way home. I began to lose energy, which I would fuel with coffee. I noticed how worn out I began feeling. I didn’t look healthy, even though I was still somewhat athletic. I would get stressed out and angry much easier. I began to notice that I would experience back pain more and more often and my production in the business had plateaued.

I’d gone both directions. Taking care of my body and not my business and finances. I’d also put my focus on my business and finances, at the risk of my health. I knew that wouldn’t work for me so I began to take better care of myself.

Now, I go to bed at 9:00 pm every night and take amino acids and a sleep supplement to make sure I’m well rested. I wake up every morning at 4:00 am and write my goals down to get focused. I start the day with amino acids and a workout to get my energy up and going.

I fast until about 2:00 pm to regulate my body, and burn more fat for fuel so that I keep good mental focus.

I don’t eat like a bodybuilder anymore, but I also don’t eat whatever I want. I realize that food is fuel and what I eat will cause some sort of outcome. I eat to create energy, inspiration, and other outcomes I’m looking to create through my food.

I’m not perfect, but I realize that although I am a spiritual being, I need this body of mine to be in peak condition in order to achieve the goals I have for myself.

Again, wealth means you’re not losing in any area of your life and that would include your physical health. And done right, your physical condition should align with your wealth goals and speed up your progress.

This is the mindset I take when I work with my clients. I’m not looking to create clients who have money, but a life that sucks. I want to help people create abundance and prosperity in all areas of their lives.
