THE IMPORTANCE of PATIENCE

Remember the BIBLICAL story when JESUS waited  before responding to the illness of HIS Friend, Lazarus?

“When HE heard this, JESUS said, 

“This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for GOD’s GLORY so that GOD’s SON may be GLORIFIED through it.” 

So when HE heard that Lazarus was sick, HE stayed where HE was two more days...

“Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I AM going there to wake him up.””

This account, among many of JESUS’ miraculous healings, is also a lesson in PATIENCE, a lesson we would all benefit from through unceasing practice, it's a LIFESTYLE! 

JESUS waited... 

“Then JESUS said, “Did I not tell you that if you BELIEVE, you will see the GLORY of GOD?” ~ John 11:4, 6, 11 & 40 

A portion of 4 verses shows the action of the LORD’s lesson in PATIENCE, concluding with the operative word BELIEVE... then 

“... you will “see” the GLORY of GOD!” 

And the “GLORY of GOD” is the RESURRECTION of the “sleeping” Lazarus. 

For me, this is a very clear example of the virtue of PATIENCE in waiting on the LORD GOD for answered prayer, the fulfillment of a need, healing of the sick... or the resolution of a situation, which is in my case. 

It appears sometimes our prayers “hopes and dreams” &  JESUS all still “lay dead in a grave.” However, JESUS waited in the tomb... HE rested for 3 days, after the work HE fulfilled during HOLY WEEK & then as GOD PROMISED, JESUS ROSE TRIUMPHANTLY, DEFEATING sin & death. 

Mankind’s prayers were then “signed, sealed & delivered” by the ONLY ONE who CAN & DOES answer the prayers of our hearts... in HIS OWN WAY & HIS OWN TIMING, which is the NOW moment for fulfillment of the prayer. 

IF, we would only BELIEVE, be GRATEFUL & have PATIENCE in WAITING for the MANIFESTATION!
