The Importance of Partnership Among the Black Travel & Tourism Community and Why the Industry Should Support Them!

A Call to Action from Stephanie M. Jones, CEO, CHEA Global

Partnerships within the Black travel and tourism community are crucial for fostering growth, representation, and economic empowerment. Collaborations like those between CHEA Global's Future of Black Tourism, the Black Travel Summit, and the Black Travel Alliance exemplify the power of unity. These alliances amplify Black voices in the travel & tourism industry, providing platforms for sharing experiences, promoting Black-owned businesses, and advocating for equitable opportunities.

The 2nd Annual Future of Black Tourism Leadership Conclave, hosted by CHEA Global, will co-locate with the Black Travel Summit in partnership with the Black Travel Alliance, marking a significant step towards strengthening these connections. This partnership aims to create a dynamic space for Black travelers, professionals, businesses, creatives, and media to network, share insights, and collaborate on initiatives that drive inclusivity and representation along with other leaders, allies, brands and thought leaders both within and outside of the travel & tourism industry.

For the Black travel and tourism community, these collaborations bring numerous benefits. They enhance visibility among new audiences, promote collaboration over competition, and drive economic development within Black-owned travel & tourism businesses. By pooling resources and expertise, the community can better advocate for its needs and influence industry practices.

Industry allies and stakeholders from all backgrounds are invited to attend the Black Travel Summit to build strong connections with the Black travel and tourism community. Engaging with this community benefits the industry at large by promoting and sustaining diversity and inclusivity, which are essential for innovation and growth. Allies can contribute to a more diverse travel & tourism industry through sponsorships and creating equitable opportunities for Black travel professionals and business to thrive in our industry.

In essence, fostering these partnerships not only enriches our travel & tourism ecosystem for everyone but also ensures that the contributions of the Black travel & tourism community are recognized and celebrated, paving the way for a more inclusive future.

This is a CALL TO ACTION! Let change in our industry begin with each of us! Let's work together for everyone in our industry to win! Come out and join the Black travel & tourism community and support these essential partnerships!
