In many ways, starting a business is the easy part.? A lot of people start a business, but most of them fail within 10 years.? These business owners may well know the tactical approach they need to take to build and sustain their business, but they often don’t have the mindset that will support this.
Start With Mindset
In order to implement the tactics and techniques needed to grow a business successfully it is essential to start with your mindset.? Running a start up business is very different to running a million pound operation, so you need to ensure that you have the belief systems in place which will lead to the necessary shifts in behaviour.
For female business owners, this can be particularly challenging as historically the majority of privately owned multi million turn over businesses were run by men. Women are more likely to be running smaller businesses and often have limiting beliefs around growing their business significantly. They are held back by their belief systems, fears and sense of self-worth/image, meaning they do not take the actions needed in order to grow their business.
In order to take your business to the next level you need to be a bolder and more courageous version of yourself by using your emotions intelligently.

This is the ability to see yourself with your own eyes and be aware of:

What Exactly is a Growth Mindset?
A growth mindset is a concept developed by psychologist Carol Dweck in her research on achievement and success. It refers to the belief that abilities, intelligence, and talents can be developed and improved through dedication, hard work, and learning.?
This is in contrast to a fixed mindset, where individuals believe that their traits and abilities are static and cannot be changed.? People with a growth mindset embrace challenges, persevere through setbacks, and see failures as opportunities for growth.
A growth mindset is essential if you want to grow a business to 7 figures.

These are the key characteristics:
Scaling a business to seven figures often involves facing significant challenges, including increased competition, financial constraints, and operational complexities. A growth mindset will encourage you? to view these challenges as opportunities for growth and learning rather than insurmountable obstacles.
Growth typically requires innovation, whether it's developing new products or services, exploring different marketing strategies, or improving operational efficiency. A growth mindset fosters a willingness to experiment, take calculated risks, and adapt to changing market conditions.
To sustain and accelerate growth, you need to continually acquire new knowledge and skills. A growth mindset promotes a hunger for learning and an openness to feedback, enabling you to stay ahead of industry trends and evolving customer preferences.
Achieving a seven-figure revenue is not always a linear path; setbacks and failures are inevitable. A growth mindset helps you to maintain your determination and resilience in the face of disappointments, using setbacks as opportunities to refine your strategies.
Markets are dynamic, and what worked in the past may not work in the future. A growth mindset encourages flexibility and the ability to pivot when necessary, ensuring that the business remains relevant and competitive.
A growth mindset can be contagious within an organisation. When you embody this mindset you tend to attract and retain employees who are also growth-oriented, creating a team that collectively drives the company toward its seven-figure goal.
Scaling a business to seven figures often involves setting and achieving long-term goals. A growth mindset keeps you focused on the bigger picture and committed to the journey, rather than seeking quick fixes or short-term gains.
Successful growth often relies on understanding and meeting customer needs. A growth mindset encourages you to listen to customer feedback, adapt your offerings, and continuously improve the customer experience.
Achieving a seven-figure revenue requires a strong understanding of financial management and strategy. A growth mindset encourages you to seek financial knowledge and make informed decisions about investments, expenses, and profitability.
While focused on growth, it's also important? to celebrate milestones and successes along the way. A growth mindset allows for the recognition of achievements without complacency, motivating further growth.
In summary, a growth mindset is vital if you want to achieve a profitable seven-figure revenue business as it fosters resilience, adaptability, learning, and innovation—all of which are essential for navigating the challenges and opportunities that come with scaling a business to that level of success.

1 年I could be wrong, but it seems to me that another factor is relevant here, namely the personal level of risk. It is genetically much higher in men, I will not go into details, but the whole process has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years. And as we know, risk is proportional to profit or success. When only 10% keep their business for more than 10 years it would then be logical that most are men.

1 年Have subscribed - thank you! The failure rate figures are always staggering, I think it's 90% failure rate over 10 years. So if you're around more than 10 years that's some accomplishment! Interestingly many of the failure reasons could likely be addressed along the way with the right mindset. One of them is poor product-market fit. If you have the right mindset you'll recognise this and pivot before it's too late.
