The Importance of Mindset

If you’re not taking care of yourself, you can’t take care of anyone else.

The most important thing you have to understand is that success doesn't come in the box. The UPS man doesn't come with a little bow in the box and say, "Hey, open this up! It's, success!"

That’s not how it works. Let’s talk about the importance of mindset.

You have to understand two things. One, if you want success, you have to go get it. And how do you do that? It depends on what you want. It depends on what success means to you.

And number two, no one gives a shit. Everybody has their own problems. Everyone has their own challenges. Yes, you have people that love you and you have teams around you. But at the end of the day, we are all individuals and we all have to set our own goals.

I don't think you should tell anybody about your goals outside of somebody that you know you can trust intuitively. The most important thing about mindset is to understand success doesn't come in the box.

Success is hard work, there's no shortcut. You know when you look at people's Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube life. You don't see their real-life sometimes.

The most important thing about mindset is understanding you’re responsible for you.

You have to take time for yourself. People say, I work a lot and I'm always on, but I've rested a lot. I work out, I eat healthily, I stretch. I don't meditate, but I sit and just zone out sometimes and rest.

I don't believe in working 18 hours a day, seven days a week. There's a lot of people that you see on YouTube and Instagram that claim they work seven days a week. There are no days off, no Sundays off...

I can take two, three days off at a time and feel good about it. I can stay home on Saturdays and Sundays, and do nothing. I need to rest so I can take care of myself. So, I think the most important thing about mindset is you have to understand you're responsible for you, period.
