As a consultant, every day I interact with individuals seeking assistance with CV writing. A crucial part of my job is to help them build a resume that matches the client’s job description. Here’s why this is essential:

Relevance and Alignment: By tailoring a CV to match the job description, we ensure that the candidate's most relevant skills and experiences are highlighted. This alignment makes it easier for the hiring manager to see how well the candidate fits the role, increasing their chances of being shortlisted for an interview.

Keywords and ATS Compatibility: Many companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to filter applications. These systems search for specific keywords from the job description. When we incorporate these keywords into the CV, it improves the likelihood that the CV will pass through the ATS and reach a human recruiter.

Demonstrates Understanding and Interest: A CV that closely matches the job description shows that the candidate has thoroughly read and understood the job requirements. This indicates genuine interest in the position and demonstrates that they have made an effort to present themselves as a strong match for the role.
