As people age, it's common for them to feel like they've learned all they need to know and that there's nothing left to learn. However, this mindset can be detrimental, especially in today's rapidly changing world where new technologies and ideas are constantly emerging. In fact, many senior professionals at the top level of management who have been working for a long time can often be hesitant to adopt new technologies, despite having extensive experience. This can lead to missed opportunities and a lack of innovation within an organization.
?
The root cause of this problem is the lack of emphasis on lifelong learning and self-improvement. Many senior citizens do not realize the importance of developing their own skills and gaining knowledge about new technologies in order to teach a junior. They may think, "What will I learn from him? What new things can I learn from him? Even though I am working under him, is there anything I can learn from him? I am doing well in this office, or is there something I need to learn from him?"
?
However, just like those who are researching artificial intelligence are providing various solutions, researching how different inputs or their outputs will be good, senior professionals can also benefit from learning about new technologies and ideas. While their education on these subjects may not have been available in the past, commercially its use has recently started and the driving force behind this progress is not the present but the youth society.
One of the main reasons for senior professionals' hesitancy to adopt new technologies may not just be ego. It may also be due to a lack of understanding about the benefits of lifelong learning and self-improvement. In fact, a senior professor once hesitated to participate in a seminar upon hearing the names of other speakers, saying, "What will they teach me? I have already taught them, they were my students." This mindset of being a master and having nothing to learn from one's disciples can be detrimental to personal and professional growth.

The solution to this problem lies in emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning and self-improvement from an early age. Family education should include teaching children to greet adults and encouraging adults to respond to those greetings. This can help break down the barrier between seniors and juniors and create a culture of mutual respect and learning. Additionally, organizations can provide training programs and opportunities for senior professionals to learn about new technologies and ideas, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
In summary, lifelong learning and self-improvement are crucial for senior professionals to stay relevant and innovative in today's rapidly changing world. By breaking down the barrier between seniors and juniors and emphasizing the importance of learning from one another, organizations can create a culture of mutual respect and continuous improvement.
