During this week I have been discussing the importance of going after your dreams. I meet wonderful people and they all come and tell me they wish they could go after their dreams and life purpose. Usually, my answer is the same every time, “what is stopping you”. Procrastination and excuses are the biggest show-stoppers we give ourselves. Informing these people that successful people in the world all had to travel a difficult life journey to reach the point where they are now. You are missing the bigger picture for your life if you think of life purpose only about a job or career. Because if that was the case then it would have been much easier for everyone to figure it out. Then what is a life purpose? Life purpose is the ability of an individual to fulfill through engaging the world around him or her.
Life purpose is about a larger mission in life that overshadows your career and job security. You might not know what is your true life purpose straight away, and that is fine. You will discover it when you are in a tough life situation and end up going through a journey. My life purpose today is so much clearer than it was 3 years ago or even 25 years ago. I had to deal with difficult and unpleasant circumstances. These circumstances have made me more resilient, and confident Have I achieved it yet? The answer is no since this is an ongoing mission.
The Japanese amazing concept of Ikigai helps you understand the importance of life’s purpose. Ikigai is a Japanese concept combining the terms iki, which means "life," and gai, which means "benefit." Besides eating habits (including green tea) and living environment, this Japanese concept is essential for aging and living long and . While going through a difficult time, preparing yourself for Ikigai means you shape your mind and vision of the world & life itself so that it's conducive to adopting Ikigai.

My advice is that you start taking actionable steps towards achieving your Ikigai and stop procrastinating. There will never be the right time you need a leap of faith. Again do it.
