For the best communication in project execution everyone must speak the same language, for Prysmian that language is LSS (Lean Six Sigma).
Prysmian knows the importance of a team receiving a high level LSS training on the fundamentals needed to support a project, as both a stakeholder & team member.
This week I gave this training in Bishopstoke (UK) & N?ssj? (Sweden), in both cases the GB (Green Belt) had already received comprehensive training in the first two phases of LSS’s DMAIC so why go to this trouble you may ask?
The answer is everyone involved in the projects needs to have at least the fundamentals in order for them to support the project as it runs.
Without this training across the team the GB will find it difficult to use the newly learned tools effectively. With the help of this training and their participation in the project the team start their experience in LSS and the business builds its people skills in project execution.

There were many terms used in the Lean Six Sigma that I was not familiar with and having learned the basics of the LSS i now understand the process our GB will be undertaking to achieve his goal. It also gave the GB a great opportunity to go through his Define phase with the entire team and let us see the logic behind his project direction. This knowledge will come in useful should I need to assist them at any point in the DMAIC process.
