5 个月My take ISTQB is like the UN. Similar outreach. Similar problems. Quoting ChatGPT "The impact of the United Nations (UN) on African countries is complex and multifaceted."
I am opposed to the ISTQB's predatory, rent-seeking practices, and to its trivialisation of testing skills. I gave this talk in 2007, and the problems I brought up persist. https://www.developsense.com/presentations/notyetcertified.pdf Dear African testers, don’t let the ISTQB charge you a de-facto tax on employment! My strong recommendation would be to set up or join communities where peers can certify each other and themselves. That way, testers avoid becoming commodities. A great way to do that is to establish a public reputation with presentations, articles, blog posts and the like. Start meet-ups. Use LinkedIn, Telegram, Slack, etc. to connect with testers worldwide. Consider the Association for Software Testing's BBST classes. One more thing: if you want use writing to build and uphold your reputation, write on! Then, before releasing what you’ve written, run your ideas through ChatGPT. If the output looks anything like your writing, change your writing.
