IMPORTANCE OF INSTRUMENTATION IN EVERYDAY LIFE

Instrumentation plays a very important role in day to day life right from using sensors in our TV remote and calibrating it to complex aircrafts where in thousands of sensors are involved. I would like highlight a simple application of image sensor in automotive domain. Consider a simple analogy the Human eyes , ears acts as sensors and brain as the processor. Image sensors use the concept of charge coupled devices where in images in the car can be identified even in bad weather condition. Here in CCD array pixel an output current produces an image which is directly proportional to intensity of light. This concept used here is optical instrumentation. Calibration of sensors in ADAS is again an application instrumentation in automotive domain which is done more in image sensors.
