Failing to respond to a court summons is not only contempt of court but a direct challenge to the judiciary’s authority.

When law enforcement officers, particularly high-ranking officials, disregard court summonses, it sets a dangerous precedent. The judiciary is weakened, public trust in the justice system is eroded, and the very fabric of the rule of law begins to unravel.
