My dog doesn't like to get in the car.?I think it's because he likes the flexibility of hanging around the house.?So we need to bribe him with treats to get him to jump in. I see now that companies are trying to get workers jump back in to the office with treats. Doughnuts are first on the list of treats and I am all for them. But Krispy Kremes may not be enough.
In the hopes of getting people to return to the office, Lizzo will perform for Google soon. Microsoft people are enjoying music from local bands, beer and wine to lure them back. Microsoft also offered classes for making terrariums although I don’t see that as a big draw. Qualcomm has huge return to office shindigs.
After two years of video meetings companies are eager to get people back to their desks but the people are saying, “I don’t know about that. Who wants morning commutes and wearing something that is not a sweat suit?”
The word mandatory is starting to pop up along with the bribes. I have always been a believer that along with the bribes other things in the workplace need to change. First on the list is meetings that make people less productive.
Treats work with the dog. We’ll see how the treats work to get people back in the office.
