How It's Med
With our podcast network, we unravel the stories, skills and secrets of the individuals shaping the future of healthcare
Data rules the world. Be it Meta, Google, or any other big tech company you can think of, is banking on user data to build bigger and better everyday. Sure it has its shortcomings, albeit the huge concerns revolving around data privacy and the lack of sufficient laws concerning the same.
However the field of medicine is still conservative in the sense that it is largely unaffected by this shift towards using data as a tool to enhance user experience. Enter AYOGO.
Ayogo Health Inc. aims to solve one very big problem that concerns patient care, and that is the patient turnover that happens in long term treatments, simply because the patient does not feel like they have as valuable a stake in the treatment procedure as they should.
Michael Fergusson , the CEO of Ayogo, sat down with Geoffrey Ching and elaborated on this very problem in detail. At Ayogo, he along with his team have built a platform, called The LifePlan Program. The unique feature about The LifePlan Program, as Michael explains it, is that it goes above and beyond what a patient tells their doctor during an appointment, and takes into consideration other essential parameters like lifestyle preferences and their eventual health goals to build them a healthcare plan in which they have equally informed decision making capacity as their healthcare provider.

So for example, if a patient who has a family history of heart disease and is at risk for the same themselves, signs up for The LifePlan Program, the plethora of features on the platform and the data that the patient provides, combined with what their doctor has prescribed, they get a tailored lifestyle cum healthcare program specifically suited to cater to their needs and aligned with their goals.
Not only this, we also get a chance to talk to Michael about how data driven systems in healthcare can revolutionize the way we look at patient care, and how Ayogo is just the beginning of it all.
