The Importance of Community

The Importance of Community

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." - Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV

To undergo change in your life, it is important to ask God for help and seek the support of other believers. Going through significant changes alone is difficult, and God designed us to receive healing and growth through the involvement of other people in our lives.

Ecclesiastes 4:10–12 emphasizes the importance of having someone to reach out and help when we fall. It states that when we stand alone, we are vulnerable to attack and defeat, but two people standing back-to-back can conquer, and three are even better.

Making decisions in life is a process, and mistakes are inevitable. That's why having a supportive community is essential. Fellow believers can help us keep the right perspective, and remind us of God's truth, and love us through our failures. Romans 12:5 explains that we are all part of one body and belong to each other, and the family of God is eternal.

To receive encouragement from other believers during a fresh start, we need the to find the right people. It may also require courage and vulnerability, but you can ask God for help in this regard because He will lead you in finding the right fellowship group.

At Power of 4, we encourage you connect with other brothers who want support and understand that our spiritual lives are interconnected. Jesus used this fellowship model when He invited Peter, James, and John into His ‘inner circle.'

If you have never been a part of a small men’s group where you share and support one another, let us help you start one.
