"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.

TOPIC: THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY.

As believers, we are called not only to grow in our own walk with God, but to encourage our brothers and sisters along the way. It's easy to get caught up in our own issues and neglect other Christians we can listen to and also help.

Something powerful should happen when followers of Jesus Christ comes together . Our spiritual fires should be awakened, our faith strengthened, and we spur one another on to greater works for God's kingdom.

So today, make a commitment to regularly seek to help others in Christ.

Reach out to a fellow Christian friend you haven't connected with in awhile. Encourage others and be encouraged by them too. Make fellowship a priority, not out of obligation but out of a sincere desire to grow together.

And remember, it's not simply about what you can gain by regular worship and fellowship. It's also about how you can serve others, speaking words of truth and being Jesus Christ's hands and feet in practical ways.

We need each other, as iron sharpens iron. So let's encourage one another daily in the faith!
