The Importance of Community Connection in the Coaching Industry

I remember arriving at my first day of coaching school to a room full of strangers.?By the end of that weekend in November, I left with so many new people I called friends, many of whom I now consider to be my close inner circle and chosen family.?I love the community I’ve been a part of over the years and continue to build upon it!
A couple of members of my New Ventures West crew and I recently got together for a visit in Seattle.?Being with Michelle and Paul brought so much joy, presence, curiosity, love, and inspiration to my heart.
Being a part of this larger coaching community, which I often refer to as my "tribe," has become an integral part of my ongoing support as a coach.?Why is finding that strong community connection so important? As humans, we are born wired for connection.?When our ancestors roamed the land for food, moving in numbers was vital to safety and survival.?The concept of a community or "tribe" typically refers to a close-knit group of people who share common values, interests, and a sense of community.?Friends often form the backbone of these groups, providing support, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
Having a strong community of friends can be incredibly beneficial for your mental and emotional well-being. They can be there to celebrate your successes, lend a listening ear during difficult times, and offer valuable advice when needed.?Close friendships can provide a sense of security and help combat feelings of loneliness.

Being part of a closely connected coaching network can be an enriching and rewarding experience.?Such a group provides a supportive environment where coaches can come together, share knowledge, learn from each other, and grow both personally and professionally.
