The Importance of Clarity
Clarity. It proves to be the most essential quality in any setup. Be it a project brief, creative strategy or personal goals it is imperative that you have a clear idea of how you want things to go down.?
Lack of clarity often is a result of miscommunication. Often under high stake situations or priority projects, people tend to hurry their statements, which might cause confusion or incomprehensible statements leading to goof-ups.
No matter how much the pressure may be, make sure that the guidelines that go down the course of the delegation are clear and to the point, so there is no room for misconduct.?
Make sure to get that clarity especially when priority projects are at stake, don’t be afraid to ask questions, get absolute transparency so that the result can be precise.?
Having clarity puts your mind at ease and aligns your goals at a focal point.?
Here is a simple test to see how clear you are. Give someone or a group of people one statement that contains no more than 10 words and no more than 15 people within the group. Ask them to repeat it back to you exactly after you've spoken. What were the results? Are you surprised that some people won't remember what you said "exactly"? Now put your clarity to the test. On the basis of that statement, ask them to explain what you desired.
Always remember :
"Clarity affords focus." -Thomas Leonard.
