3 个月1/5 Its worth explaining a bit more as this often isn't well understood. When talking about the importance or value of business events, there are often complete quite different and separate conversations that happen amongst two quite different groups of people.?There are the conversations that the event owners (and their organisers have) and the conversations that the destinations have.?They are quite different conversations as the two groups have completely different purposes and interests.?And they value business events in quite different ways. I'll use as an example a large conference in Queensland I did for a franchise group. The client and I discussed at great length the purpose of the event and the practical outcomes that we wanted to achieve with the event.?These were based around educating and motivating the franchisees, getting their buy in and involvement with new strategies, and improving the way they ran their businesses.?The overall aim was to improve the profitability of the franchisees' businesses and of the client's business and to improve and expand the overall group.?And this is why they were willing to make the large investment in both time and money to hold the conference.

4 个月I'm a bit puzzled by this. The title is The Importance of Business Events yet it only seems to be focussed on the tourism benefits of business events. Business events do fill hotel rooms, but this is only one of the more modest side effects of business events. It is not the purpose of business events. Business events help organisations and industry to change, innovate and grow - amongst many other things.
