Based on Argentina's export data, in 2023, Argentina exported goods worth $66.7 billion globally. This represents a 24.4% decrease compared to $88.3 billion in 2022.


From a continental perspective, the latest Argentine export data indicates that over a quarter (28.6%) of Argentina's exports were destined for Asia, with 40.3% of these exports going to Latin America. European buyers accounted for another 13.8%. North American customers purchased 11.1%, African buyers 5.2%, and Oceania, including Australia and New Zealand, received 1% of the exports.

The latest Argentine export data shows that about three-fifths (59.1%) of Argentina's exports in 2023 are destined for:

1. Brazil: $11.9 billion (17.8%)

2. United States: $5.6 billion (8.4%)

3. Mainland China: $5.2 billion (7.7%)

4. Chile: $4.9 billion (7.4%)

5. Peru: $2.54 billion (3.8%)

6. India: US$2.45 billion (3.7%)

7. Vietnam: $2.1 billion (3.1%)

8. Uruguay: $1.7 billion (2.6%)

9. Netherlands: $1.6 billion (2.3%)

10. Spain: $1.4 billion (2.2%)

Uruguay (up 10.8%) and Switzerland (up 9.5%) will see the strongest growth in purchases from Argentina between 2022 and 2023. The other two growers are the South American countries of Peru (up 4.1%) and Chile (up 0.3%). The steepest declines were seen among Argentine export buyers in the Netherlands (down -56.3% from 2023), Indonesia (down -53.7%), India (down -46.1%), Algeria (down -44%), and South Korea (down -44%).
