Human experience with antimatter is limited, leading to the common question -- Where is all the antimatter? But there are conventional indications. [1]
While the possible structure of space has been discussed in terms of entanglement and virtual particles in the ground-state vacuum in these Letters, the above quote helps to round out the related subjects. Since virtual particles were said to exist in a range of energies / lifetimes, i.e., 10^-100 to 10^-10 ergs, those at the low energy end would be practically eternal and have long wavelengths (far exceeding "known" space of some 93 billion light years diameter) represented by random line segments in the cover image. Virtual particles come into existence in particle / anti-particle pairs that are always in immediate contact regardless of separation distance. [2][3][4]
Each line, then, in the image also represents such an entangled pair (particle on one line end and antiparticle on other line end) that shares at least one wavelength. Particles and antiparticles "frozen" in space since the origin of the Universe? The quantity of such implicit antimatter dwarfs the few percent of visible matter in the Universe.
This can imply that space is inherently non-local, [3] and that this character might be more forthcoming provided that entanglements are not in random directions, i.e., lines and line groups in cover image, and if "combed" in some manner, may be made unidirectional to a degree, suggesting a "sizeable utilitarian wormhole," or shortcut through space.
