If your identity is based on something you cannot control –

a job, another person, circumstances, etc.,

you are going to have anxiety about keeping it

and misery when you lose it.

If you want to change, you must change your thinking and take action until a new identity takes root.

For Beyoncé, that’s Sasha Fierce.

For managers, that’s a leader.

For salespeople, that’s a winner.

For Christians, that’s a child of God made in His image.

Let me repeat. You must start thinking and acting like the person you want to become in order to become that person.

Silence breeds negativity, but within you is greatness.
