Implement FAST!
Week 3: “What’s the Lie? There is no try.”
A Conversation with Amir Syed
Several things led me to start this newsletter.
1.????? The realization of my own identity
2.????? The winning thoughts I’m hearing from Amir Syed
(FAST could stand for From Amir Syed Thinking)
3.????? Accountability for myself
4.????? Wanting to bless others with what I’m learning.
This week I find myself falling behind.
I had intended to write out my long-term plans.
But it soon became more of a “need to do” because of a newsletter rather than a “have to do” because of who I am and am striving to become.
It is now Friday, and I haven’t made these important questions a priority:
Where are you going?
Where is the best place to go?
What is your goal?
I wonder what Amir Syed might say to this. Having listened to him for about 10 hours now on various webinars and three GO! Higher w/ Lower company calls, I think I have an idea.
Here is what I hear his voice saying to me . . .
?
There is no “try”. There is no “plan to.” There is no “maybe.”
From now on, you “will.”
And you “will” define daily what you “will” do each day.
?
Listen. Look at me. Pay attention.
I’m not your consultant.
I’m not your therapist.
I’m not your mentor.
I’m your coach.

That means I tell you what to do, you do it, and then you report back to me.
This doesn’t work if you don’t do that.
?
For you not to act on what you say you want means that you really don’t want it.
Believe in yourself enough to invest in yourself.
Your investment in yourself have the highest ROI.
By being in a better place, you are able to help others more.
As I said before, I’m not your therapist.
I’m not going to ask you what lie you are believing about yourself.
But you must believe you are a winner and the other things in your identity.
And as a leader in this newsletter, you know your audience deserves better.
?
For you not to spend time on defining your goals tells me you are like 90% of the population, just drifting along.
Take the next step to be driven like the 9%, and
then the next step to be directed like the top 1%.
?
There is no shaming here. This is about you getting better.
You know it’s about a process. Figure out what input will lead you to the output, just like loan officers figure out how many leads they must get a day.
What’s it going to take?
30 minutes of dedicated time until your goals are fully written down?
Goals for your marriage, your family, your relationships, and work?
?
You must value your time enough to protect it.
Time-block each day and get what is most important done.
?
I cannot help you unless you are willing to invest in yourself.
Go do the work and report back to me next week.
