Impermanence and Retirement

Impermanence and Retirement

Impermanence is the goodness of reality. Just as the four seasons are in continual flux, winter changes to spring to summer to autumn; just as day becomes night, light becomes dark becoming light again—in the same way, everything is constantly evolving.

Impermanence is the essence of everything. It is babies becoming children, then teenagers, then adults, then old people, and somewhere along the way dropping dead.

Impermanence is meeting and parting. It’s falling in love and falling out of love.

When you wake up in the morning and out of nowhere comes the heartache of alienation and loneliness, could you use that as a golden opportunity? Rather than persecuting yourself or feeling that something terribly wrong is happening, right there in the moment of sadness and longing, could you relax and touch the limitless space of the human heart?

Retirement is the Epitome of ImPermanence?

Yeah, Those Golden Years, How’s that working for You? Is it everything You dreamed it would be? Were You even looking forward to it, or did it Just Happen? Irrespective of How It Happened, Finding ourselves on the Retirement Square sems to Bring Up a Few Things,.........at least it has for me. In truth, it brings up things I have avoided for a lifetime.?

Work, Work, Work, The Drug of Choice

I always enjoyed working, perhaps too much. I fell into the Workaholic Camp, at least some of the time. It was my Go Too Drug of Choice, To NumbUp. Work and Career are such a lovely excess to get out of many things, Family for instance. Thoughts, Feelings & Emotions buried deep within your soul do not see the light of day with Work, Work, Work, as we Become? Comfortably Numb.

The Cycle Continues for Decades, Until It Doesn’t

Then one day, Retirement, also known as, End of Job/End of Career comes knocking at your door. Sometimes planned, sometimes forced, many of us weren’t ready. To be clear, Retirement is Decadent, and the closest to Freedom I have ever experienced. What I didn’t expect with an Abundance of Time, are the waves of emotions from Decades of Numbness.

SimpleLife?

What Retirement has gifted me, is a SimpleLife, by choice. And Time, Lot’s and Lot’s of Time. Time for SideHustles, of things I Want to Do, and Enjoy. Time to Write & Create. And, Time to Reconcile. Time for Conciseness and Deeper Intuition,.......All of the things the Second Half of Life are meant for.?

So, Take the Plunge, sooner than Later if you can,........?

We are living in a time when everyone is constantly reassessing what is next for them. In the mid-career group, people who have spent years working are now seeing their industry dramatically evolve and are facing the question: “What does that mean for me in the next twenty years?”

The post-career population is going through massive change that many of them are not prepared financially, logistically, or emotionally for the next phase of their lives.

GrowingFREE SimpleLife helps with action to achieve a purposeful life,?

-Reimagine yourself

-Own who you are

-Act on what’s next

-Reassess your relationships
