Impacting policy to #PutHousingFirst

Frequently we are asked how non-profit organizations impact elections? While non-profits can't support or oppose candidates, they can take positions on issues. And they can let voters know which candidates support or oppose those positions.

One tool for communicating this is a scorecard.

The Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance (GNOHA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to improve housing for all. Telegraph was hired in October to design and publish GNOHA's annual candidate scorecard. The scorecard is used widely across the Orleans Parish to guide voters when they go to the ballot box.?

All four of the highest-scoring candidates for City Council won their election.?

With the ongoing effects of natural disasters in? New Orleans, Telegraph developed effective and flexible media to reach voters in a time of crisis. Within a week of being hired, we were able to design and publish the scorecard. Following the scorecard, Telegraph produced videos and other advertising. Within two weeks of being hired, our firm had a complete set of media up and running.

The videos, produced in New Orleans, drove the social media presence in the General Election to engage voters to get out and vote to #PutHousingFirst.?
