An Impactful Summer For CLSA Interns

Corporate Social?Responsibility at CLSA is not just about philanthropy, but how we engage people at all levels to?make a positive difference to communities. Through a wide range of CSR activities, we make meaningful?contributions to our society. We also recognise the importance of difference,?respect and equality as part of our ongoing commitment to diversity and?inclusion.

Giving back is a vital part of CLSA’s culture. CLSA’s summer interns are not only immersed in the company’s day-to-day business, but also in our culture of service and giving back.

This year’s Internship Programme saw interns volunteering to participate in a diverse range of projects ranging from food rescue, to preserving natural resources, and protecting our planet.

Urban farming

Interns assisted in urban farming and harvested fresh organic vegetables which are then donated to local food bank. The program aims to promote food sustainability and close the loop on food waste.

Food angel

Interns assisted in the central kitchen of Food Angel and prepared food ingredients that will be converted into hot meals for the underprivileged communities. Food Angel is a charity program that rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry and converts it into fresh meals for those in need.

Dignity kitchen

Interns prepared bento boxes in Dignity Kitchen and were involved in distribution to people in need within the community.

Go green workshop

Interns learned how to integrate environmental protection into their daily life and gained a hands-on experience making mosquito repellent via natural methods in a Go Green Workshop.

Bread run

Interns assisted in a food rescue program and collected surplus fresh bread from bakeries and convenience stores. The bread was redistributed to the homeless, refugee families and elderly people.

Tree planting

Interns supported the country park enrichment work, to restore barren hillsides and aid land rehabilitation.
