IMPACTFUL LEADERSHIP
True leaders lead by example, showing the team the way and also supporting people along the way. Alexander the great once was travelling with his troops across the Hindu Kush Mountains and ran out of food and supplies. However, he motivated them to keep going and reach their destination. In this example, Alexander marched with the troops and accepted all hardships thus motivating and leading his army to success.
Leaders, who lead by fear, limit the growth of their team and reduce the morale of the members. Fear weakens trust and communication in the team; thus, individuals start acting with selfishness and personal gains.?
Those leaders, who can bring love and motivation to the table where followers feel safe to speak and contribute without fear of any consequences, can have a motivated setup. In this scenario, people feel connected and energized. They have positive feelings of liking, caring and understanding. Such a culture which promotes love, helping, understanding, encouraging and at times forgiving will motivate followers to take positive actions to reach the assigned goals.
Leaders realize that they accomplished more by motivating their team to pursue the task as compared to working in solitude. Being a good communicator, the leader will motivate his team to succeed. They realise the importance of cooperation and understanding with the team.
By providing appropriate feedback they encourage people to feel good about themselves. The feedback aims to improve performance and be more productive. In an organization that supports fear, blame culture, working alone and low trust will be highly ineffective as compared to an organization that develops people through teamwork, coaching, positive communication, and self-awareness.?

FOCUSING ON THE POSITIVE AS A LEADER
Leaders need to concentrate and focus on the positive aspects and ignore the negative because what the leaders will focus on will expand. Focusing on opportunities will provide more opportunities; on the other hand, focusing on problems will lead to more problems. Every problem should be viewed as a challenge and an undiscovered opportunity. True leaders find opportunity in every challenging situation.
The bigger the problem in front of you the bigger the opportunity is lying behind it. Great leaders solve big problems which lead to a bigger opportunity for growth. True leaders believe in an abundance mentality and that everybody wins, they feel proud of helping others because they realize success can only be obtained with the help of others. By genuinely caring, showing respect, and appreciation for their team, leaders build high trust in teams.
By encouraging positive behaviour, leaders positively perpetuate the organizational environment. In a company culture, leaders need to encourage the behaviours and actions they would like to promote by supporting those actions. On the other hand, they need to redirect negative and undermining behaviour to positive behaviours and actions. In the same context, leaders need to focus on the outcome, not the process. The process can be different for different people as human beings are wired differently. In a team of four people, if each of them is tasked to do the same work and they work on it independently, we will find each of the four individuals having a different process. This highlights the fact that each individual can have a different process but the results can be the same.
A leader's style of dealing with people can vary according to the situation; at times when time is limited a directing style can be useful to accomplish tasks that are of high value and urgent nature. At times when major decision-making and sponsorship of the project is required, a participative style may be more effective. Effective leaders vary their style according to the demand of the situation. The leadership style should be such that which guarantees long-term success for the company.
?The organizational climate should be such that it supports growth, encouragement and learning for all employees. Such a climate promotes the development of the employees. All individuals feel that they are valued and taken care of. People do not get blamed for mistakes but rather they learn from the process and thus contribute to organizational positive development.?Due to this high-performance culture, individuals feel happy, motivated, and more productive working in the company.?
