ImpactFuel - The CFYE Update
Challenge Fund for Youth Employment
Supporting initiatives to create a prosperous future for young women and men in the Middle East and Africa
June 2024
Dear LinkedIn Community,
As every month, this June the CFYE team was busy organising events and activities in collaboration with their IPs, collecting stories and testimonies from young women and men that benefit from our programs, and disseminating knowledge on youth employment, retention and attraction to new and disruptive job opportunities.
Every month we are committed to showing you how CFYE is not merely a program, but a catalyst for change. Beyond the numerical aspects, this newsletter will shine light on our program milestones and the broader implications of our partnerships in the MENA Region and Sub Saharan Africa.

From Grants to Growth: Building Investment-Ready Social Businesses?
It can be really hard to adapt, grow, and innovate purely with grant funding. It’s essential when you start out but a transition needs to happen and CFYE is a great bridge for that, because they actually fund our core impact. It’s been really helpful having a funder like them because we don’t have to divert our sustainable model in any way. - Andy Bownds (EcoBrix)

But everything changed thanks to the mentorship and training provided by Healthy Entrepreneurs, our Implementing Partner from Uganda, which empowered her to embark in her own entrepreneurial journey. Drawing on her experience as a Community Health Worker, Kyalikunda saw this as a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of those she cared for. Today, she stands as a testament to the power of #entrepreneurship in transforming communities and improving #healthcare access.
