Today I was invited to speak at the event organized by Blockchain For Productivity Forum and Elteridium on the topic “ Impact of Web3 Ecosystem on Development of Public Infrastructure”.?The webinar discusses the role of the web3 ecosystem in the development of public infrastructure.

Here is a brief on what I have talked about and thought regarding the Impact of the Web3 ecosystem on the Development of Public Infrastructure:-

The impact of the Web3 ecosystem on the development of public infrastructure is likely to be significant. One of the most promising applications of Web3 technology is in the development of public infrastructure. This includes things like e-governance, transportation systems, smart cities, energy grids, and water management systems, climate change, ESG. By using blockchain technology, Web3 can enable the development of more efficient, secure, and transparent infrastructure systems. The Web3 ecosystem, which refers to the next generation of the internet built on decentralized technologies such as blockchain, has the potential to significantly impact the development of public infrastructure in various ways.

Here are some potential impacts:

1.????Decentralized Governance: Web3 technologies enable decentralized governance models where decisions are made by a distributed network of stakeholders, rather than by a centralized authority. This could lead to more transparent, inclusive, and participatory decision-making processes in the development of public infrastructure. 4, In India, various state governments are piloting e-governance use cases. States like Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, and Tamilnadu are looking forward to implementing similar use cases. NPCI, NIC CDAC and government bodies also working on building web3 public infrastructure.

"Over the past few years, governments in several countries have been experimenting with the application of this novel technology to a wide variety of functions and services, including land registration, educational credentialing, health care, procurement, food supply chains, and identity management."
