Is the impact of tax reforms to red diesel a worry to your company

This new measure introduces legislative changes to restrict the entitlement to use red diesel and rebated biofuels from this coming April, those affected will include people using red diesel for many different purposes, but probably the biggest impact in our industry will be vehicles of nearly all types, this even extends to gritting roads.

Speaking to a lot of people at the RDF conference yesterday, many spoke about how Brexit and the Pandemic have made them take a very close look at the way their company operates, this has included making changes that they feel have helped future proof their company.

The general feeling is that there will always be a place for mobile equipment to offer a small degree of flexibility, especially if equipment breaks down, or is being serviced, but there is definitely a shift to static equipment, albeit, positioned in such away that it can be multi-tasked wherever possible. This need is bound to grow when you consider that this loss of tax benefit will lose many medium to large companies many hundreds of thousands of pounds per year, this will come straight off the bottom line.

The Lindner Polaris is a hybrid machine, it uses the robust chassis of the Jupiter primary shredder, and the cutting profile of the Komet, but make no mistake this machine has real power with a flywheel mass in excess of 11 tons.
