The stereotypical methods of assessment and evaluation is in its phase of paradigm shift, it is a good sign to see assertion-reason-based questions, case study based questions and such test items which doesn’t require learning the answers by heart. It is also helping students to depend upon the cultivation of thought and concepts in mind, rather than collecting various guidebooks which can’t be changed so rapidly as rapidly the modification in the syllabus and the pattern of questions are changing. In one hand where it is universally being realized that students have become better visual and auditory learners but the writing and skills to express has been affected due to online mode of learning, one the other hand, students, parents and teachers have become comfortable in using open educational resources and dissemination of knowledge is achieved nearly to the maximum extent. The virtual learning environment and various online line training platform has really made it easy for any person to learn and grow, whoever has the apetite of learning. A world of all books accessible in kindle or in a Tablet PC has made self development as easy as listening to bed time stories. In a nutshell, I feel blessed to experience this era where in every decade contrasting change happens in the world of technology, education technology which helps the educations system to be more integrated, rich and accessible to all.?
