Ok I get it, you clicked this article thinking what does this guy know about PCOS. You're justified in thinking because I am not a doctor nor am I a medical care provider. However, I am an Esthetician and do I work on the epidermis. I didn't know very much about this condition, but I did some digging and found some interesting things.
If I haven't bored you by this point you, lets get like Bob Ross and paint a picture of this condition clinically called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Let these words be the paint for the canvas of your mind as we define these symptoms. (See I'm not so bad lol) One of the common symptoms you will see is hirsutism. This is when extra hair growth arises from male hormones (primarily testosterone) causing them to grow facial hair. Your body starts overproducing hormones causing your androgens levels to rise leading to hormonal acne breakouts. This can lead to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and/or acne scaring.
Ok, you probably aren't happy with what I just said but don't be mad at me yet. I'm a writer and I like to build a bit of suspense. If you suspect you have PCOS see a doctor if you do have PCOS then its not the end of the word, I was just describing some common symptoms I have seen as an Esty. I also have solutions, go book a session with your Esthetician or me :)! Just playing no seriously book me.

When it comes to the hirsutism you have different options here: you can be proud in your body just the way it is and let your hair grow, there was no mistake in the way you were designed; you can get get facial waxing (make sure to not shave consult Esthetician or Wax Specialist for exact length); you can get laser hair removal (semi-permanent hair removal); or if you have some money to invest you can get electrolysis(the ONLY FDA approved hair removal process). Now with breakouts you want to work with your Esthetician on this one. I can't stress this enough because your skin reacts differently to different treatments. Its the same with the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and/or acne scaring. We have treatments, serums, and routines we can do to you and recommend for at home use to help your skin to get you to your goal you just have to book the appointment. I would suggest some but I don't want to be responsible for indirectly harming someone's skin if they misuse a product so instead book a consultation. DM me on this platform I promise I won't bite, what do you have to lose.
P.S. I do not do any of the laser of electrolysis treatments that is out of my scope or practice nor can I diagnose you.
