4 年Good analysis of the situation. I cannot say that this pandemic is positive, but as an ecologist, I think that the positive impact on the environment will be permanent. Let's just take an example: if you spend like 2 days without eating, on the 3rd day, you will not eat three times what you usually eat per day. So I don't think that carbon emissions or timber logging will be as fast as to compensate this period. The second aspect about is the economic crisis that is predicted to follow this pandemic. If it happens, it is sure that the global demand will decrease, thus reducing the global production. As the main consequence, carbon emissions will decrease as well as the pressure on some raw material (wood, minerals, etc.).
