?? 百事 have taken a significant step in their sustainability efforts by partnering with Stobart to transport Walkers crisps from Leicester to retailers using trucks powered by HVO. This initiative will use five million litres of HVO, covering over 11 million miles and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 85% per kilometre compared to conventional diesel. This move is part of PepsiCo's broader strategy to reduce their carbon footprint, with HVO now fuelling 40% of their transport operations for Walkers, contributing to a total savings of over 16,000 tonnes in GHG emissions this year.
?? On the first anniversary of PUMA Group 's Re: Generation initiative, Gen-Z creators have released a series of videos exploring the sustainability practices of the sportswear brand. The initiative, aimed at improving transparency and education around Puma’s sustainability efforts, allowed young people and journalists unfiltered access to Puma's supplier factories. The video series delves into the realities of the garment industry, including working conditions and resource efficiency. Puma’s chief sourcing officer, Anne-Laure Descours, emphasises the brand's commitment to engaging younger generations in sustainability decisions and showcasing the genuine progress and ongoing challenges in their supply chain.
?? 凯度 have joined forces with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation as part of their commitment to becoming leaders in circular economy practices. This partnership will leverage the foundation's extensive experience in promoting circularity alongside Kantar's capabilities in consumer engagement and sustainable marketing. Jonathan Hall, managing partner at Kantar’s Sustainable Transformation Practice, noted that Kantar are ideally positioned to integrate circular economy benefits widely across global markets. This collaboration also builds on their previous joint research projects, to drive meaningful systemic change at the intersection of consumers and brands.
???Under the guidance of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation , Primark , H&M , and Zalando are participating in the Fashion ReModel project, which was launched at The Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen. This initiative brings together major fashion brands to explore solutions that separate revenues from production volumes, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry. The project supports circular practices such as rental, resale, repair, and upcycling, which could represent a $700 billion market by 2030. By rethinking products and business models, these brands strive to keep garments in use longer, contributing to a sustainable transformation of the fashion sector.
