The Impact of Interpersonal Skills

The Impact of Interpersonal Skills

An essential characteristic of a thriving organization is the interpersonal skills embedded within its culture.?

With the diversity of perspectives and opinions, friction is a natural expectation, which can be a refining force as long as there is intentional good faith interaction to reach compromise.

Everyone needs skills to address misunderstandings and unproductive behavior that affects performance or team relationships. The consequences of not confronting conflict goes beyond an organization’s performance and undermines the development of an embracing culture.

We must acknowledge that a work-life community has a tremendous influence on the performance culture of an organization, that model’s effective interactions, and sets expectations for collaboration.

Which leads to the question: Have you ever assessed and measured the interpersonal skills of your employee community?

Soft-skills assessments are a valuable tool for HR professionals to impact a culture’s ability to collaborate, influence, and prepare employees for advancement.

As a consistent reader of Visiam Insights Newsletter, we would like to invite you to investigate our Assessments as an invaluable tool to engage leadership and organizations in meaningful conversations.

It’s an huge oversight for many companies to believe that all of their employees socialize the same. I’ve always struggled with being an introverted person while having extroverted employees take up lots of space. It’s important to be able to recognize the social dynamics and teach our teams to interact with each in a way that helps the employees feel heard resulting in greater satisfaction and productivity.
