WHAT IS INTERNET OF THINGS : - The Internet of Things is about connecting everyday things, like objects or devices, to the internet. These things have sensors, software, and other technologies that allow them to share information with each other and with systems over the internet. In simple terms, it's a way for things to talk to each other through the web.
IMPACT OF INTERNET OF THINGS ON SUPPLY CHAIN NETWORK : -
IoT means the Internet of Things, and it helps us see and understand everything in the supply chain. It gives us real-time information about where products are, if there are any delays, and if there might be problems. This helps us make better decisions and manage risks.
The Internet also makes buying things cheaper because everyone involved in the supply chain can quickly find out information about where things come from, if they're available, how much they cost, and technical details about them.
In our everyday lives, IoT has made things easier by automating tasks, making our homes more secure, creating wearable devices for better health, and improving how our devices connect to each other.
In the supply chain, IoT devices are like smart trackers that use GPS and other technologies to follow and verify products and shipments. They can also check how products are stored, making sure they stay in good condition. This helps make sure the products are of good quality throughout the whole supply chain.
IoT is also used in smart factories, where machines and sensors are connected. This helps with things like predicting when machines might need maintenance, making things more efficient, and keeping an eye on how things are made in real-time.
