The Remarkable Journey of Benjamin at Booksie Book Club
In January 2023, Booksie 's Book Club welcomed 7-year-old Benjamin, a bi-lingual Ghanaian-Congolese boy, into their reading community. Recognizing the challenges he faced in learning English and overcoming social anxiety, his mother enrolled him in the club, hoping for positive changes in his academic and social life.
Initially hesitant to interact, he emerged from his shell, forming meaningful connections with fellow Book Club members. He not only made friends but also became an enthusiastic participant in discussions, reflecting his newfound comfort and self-assurance.

Eva's Story of Finding Her Voice with the Help of Knas Hemma
During 2023, Knas Hemma supported a young person named Eva who was recommended by social services. At the time, Eva was 15 years old and struggling with feelings of depression and insecurity.
Her first in-person meeting with the Knas Hemma team went well, and she felt relaxed and welcomed. The leaders at Knas Hemma listened to Eva's concerns, and she felt comfortable speaking openly with them.
Eva learned about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and, more specifically, about the rights of children and young people in family or HVB homes. Additionally, Eva took part in a camp in ?land, contributed to preparing documents for the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, and even delivered a speech in the Riksdag.
