It is evident from research that people who practice gratitude are more happy and contented with their lives but have you ever wondered why it brings out the best in people.
Gratitude is all about being thankful and appreciating others, when people starts appreciating others for what they did for them then they let go of their negative emotions and become more compassionate. They direct their energy towards helping others and eager to pay back by doing small acts of kindness in return.
Practicing gratitude starts with counting our blessings and being thankful for what we have instead of making a fuss about the things which we don’t have. It’s more about acknowledging the good things in life and readily accepting them the way they are instead of getting envious about others’ accomplishments. Acceptance of what we have leads us to achieve an Inner satisfaction, peaceful state of mind and also boost our happiness. Inner peace could allow us to work on our personal and professional goals with mindfulness instead of getting stuck in vicious cycle of chasing other’s success, playing dirty politics and letting others down.
As a result of exercising gratitude in our day to day life, people may engage in a positive thought process by start appreciating small things in life and become less complainant. It will also result in strengthening our relationships by showing more respect towards people through our gestures for being grateful.
It’s high time to encourage everyone to practice gratitude by maintaining gratitude journal, volunteer for helping others and appreciate everything to reap maximum benefits.
