- Understand Your Audience – I cannot stress this enough. When you know your audience, you can curate and target your message specifically for them. When you understand their preference, behavior, pain points, wants and needs, you can address these and speak to them directly.
- Highlight Unique Value Proposition – What sets you apart from your competitors? Unique to your hotel / brand?
- Consistency: Just like the Oscar-winning Hollywood Movie: Everything Everywhere All At Once. We need to be everywhere, saying the same thing, the same time. Consistent brand identify, message and visuals across all channels. Makes you more recognizable and your brand to be remembered.
- Storytelling: Share compelling stories about your hotel or business. Stories resonate with audiences on an emotional level and are more memorable than facts and statistics.
- Stay Relevant: Through quality content, interactive content, content that appeals to the emotion, or through influencers, you must be relevant (to what people or your audience is talking about, what are their concerns NOW, and how you can contribute to that, or maybe solve that concern.
- Personalized: Tailor your message to individual guest segments based on your identified audiences. Personalized campaigns are more engaging and memorable. Authentic experiences.
- Measure: Continuously measure the performance of campaigns and adjust strategies based on the results.
- Experiment: Don’t be afraid to try. Experiment with different channels, formats, content, campaigns and tactics, and adapt based on what works best for your hotel or brand.
There are several ways to stand out from the crowded marketplace. But there is no one sure shot way to do it. What's important to think out of the box, ?do not be afraid to test and experiment, and get crazy and creative without going off-brand. ??
Some discussion points were shared in a panel during the 6th Hospitality Philippines Conference by Hospitality Asia last September 06, 2023 at Marriott Manila.
