We humans aren’t separate from nature, but a part of it, and we are absorbing our environment through our skin, lungs & digestive tract 24/7. We more likely can compare ourselves to air-plants, taking in our surroundings from every pore of our being.

In this post today you will learn daily best practices & strategies to reduce toxic exposure from our environment, especially if you reside around an industrial area/ leather factory etc. There are always steps you can take to protect yourself and your family.

The Mental & Emotional Impact:

Always remember to be gentle & kind to yourself & to others. Exposure to even a minute amount of toxin can cause a significant drop in your energy level & ability to focus. Toxins activate the cell danger response, hence our mitochondria stop producing “power” like powerhouse and instead became whistleblowers. We literally have less energy when exposed to toxins.

Anxiety, depression, brain fog, irritability, moodiness, fatigue and overwhelm have all been linked to environmental toxin exposure. Lower your expectations of your own productivity, keep your calendar clear of unnecessary commitments and use your time for self-care. Resist the urge to fall prey to easy way out with sugary sweets, alcohol or smoke as your body will be able to tolerate them less than usual.

Daily practices to Reduce Exposure to Toxins:

1.???? Limit your exposure outdoors- Have designated outdoor clothes & shoes & take them off as soon as you step in the house. Be meticulous about it!!

2.???? Stop re-exposing yourself in your own home- Reduce toxic exposure by pulling them out of your linens & clothing. You can use 1tsp of activated charcoal for darker clothes & 1tsp of zeolite/bentonite clay for lighter color clothes in each laundry load to mop off the toxins. They are cheap and safe!!

3.???? Daily detox for whole family- i] Epsom salt baths daily will help pull out toxins that have recently been absorbed by the skin. ii] Solution to pollution is dilution, so hydrate with pure water all day long. iii] ? Tsp of apple cider vinegar helps to break down glyphosate & related herbicides into harmless components that your body can process.

4.???? Binders are your Best Friend- Binders are a type of supplement that chemically & mechanically bond to different types of toxins, so that these toxins can safely get excreted without continuing to cause damage & recirculating in the body. Take twice a day away from food by an hour’s gap.

5.???? Plants work as Air Filters Indoor- VOC’s can get mopped off by spider plants if you have a lot of them, or plant enough snake plants, spider plants & bromeliad potted plants as they make a real difference by increasing oxygen exchange and providing some filtration!
