The Impact of COVID-19 on Healthcare in the Americas

Although Brazil, Canada and the US have distinct healthcare systems, they share many commonalities in the impact of COVID-19 on their health ecosystems. All are struggling to find solutions for their financially-strained health systems. The impacts are driving change in the Americas and with it, the need for new models and tools. Some of the common changes taking place include the rapid adoption of digital technologies throughout health systems, fast tracking of regulatory approvals on COVID-19 related solutions, the recognition of detrimental gaps in senior care and a potential long-term shift toward patient-centred models of care.
