The Impact of the Corona Virus on Your Conscious Business

Dear Community,

Whew! What a time we're living in.

You are smart people. You don't need me to quote statistics or the experts to know that we are in the midst of a historic situation. I've been talking to our members (who live around the world) for several weeks and hearing about the impacts. They are profound and showing up on many levels including physical, emotional, spiritual and financial.

Given I make my living as a holistic business coach and the founder of a remarkable community of social entrepreneurs, my past few weeks have been particularly full of conversation about the financial impacts.

You shared with me things like:

• Live events are either being cancelled or attendance is way down.
• Clients are in fear states and are more ambivalent than usual.
• Prospects are paying less attention to your marketing.
• Your income has dropped.

As both business owners and aware humans, you are feeling these impacts deeply. And many of you have shared both how diligently you are working your practices to maintain your ability to be of service to others (SO many people in deep states of fear right now) as well as to stay agile as a business owner and navigate the changes you are seeing.

First off, I want to acknowledge the depth of the impact this has had on you. And to say we have the emotional load of both our own emotions about this crisis AND we're frequently key resource people for others to turn to in challenging times. On top of that, we have the responsibility of being the CEO's of our business and trying to make smart financial choices in unprecedented times.

That's a lot to hold. Breathing with you all ...

Second, I want to encourage us to collectively lean in the to the power of conscious community. While I support the wisdom of social distancing as a strategy to slow down the spread of the virus, I want to encourage each of us to do the exact opposite on the emotional and spiritual realms. I think it's more important to lean in, share, and be in community MORE now than ever.

To that end, I'm wondering if you as a community would like to have a community call on The Impacts of the Corona Virus? I am imagining space to share about what the impacts on all levels while ensuring we include a specific section on financial impacts.

I have some specific suggestions I'm making to my private clients about how to keep generating revenue in a conscious way in this turbulent time. And I can imagine others have good ideas as well. I am today more grateful to be in community together more than ever.

You are a remarkable group of humans and it is an incredible honor to be in a leadership position. I know this situation is having major impacts on you and that many are seeing your revenue being impacted in significant and scary ways.
