Impact of #ChineseVirus on Organisations Founders & Entrepreneurs: The Truth

The current scenario for organisation has been quite a challenge, the key factors that has affected that all the industries have taken a hit. May it be Travel, Tourism, Hotel, Airlines there is Domino effect, the impact of it has taken its toll on Software/Knowledge Industry is deep. But, what is left unsaid is a deep resentment spread across countries & region and blame on the owners or founders of the companies.

Employee & Employers both form the ecosystem but it also brings out something deeper divide in our society. i.e. All Company Owners are essentially profiteers & using the current situation to downsize or reducing salaries to make profits. The is stereotyping has continued across the board, without realising that Board Members, Owners, Entrepreneurs specially have actually mortgaged their houses taken loans to pay salaries to their employees and are just trying to keep their head above the water to survive.

Entrepreneurs are the risk takers, they have been driven by passion to create value. I being one, knows that how important my each & every employee is. I cannot create value without my team, employees, partners & vendors. The trust that has been put in me by my clients. It does effects us when we ask employees to take temporary salary cuts or go on a furlough. It is not that simple for any of us. Alas, we are few who generate employment.

Employees are much larger in numbers and their conditions pains everyone of us but when the difficult choices are to be made.

• How many can we save ?
• Do we ask Employees to take Salary cuts?
• Do we ask them to take furlough ?

Many such thoughts occur, how do I make the organisation survive the tough times. For bigger organisation:

• Pockets are deep
• Funds are available from Banks
• Credit history is good

Hence, more funding will come but where does small business go & for the records sake 50% of employment is generated in Micro & Small scale companies. Sunovaa & DataKlout being one of them. I personally have been running to raise funds may it be debt, equity or even mortgaging my last of savings for my medical expenses or son education to just keep the company afloat.

If we don't realise that economy has shrunk worldwide with varying degrees and no growth is happening How any company will be able to support the compensation prior to the pandemic? Employees will have to think differently bring in value, its your sweat & blood along with founders and business owners have created value in the system. It is the time to join hands & take a temporary cut for us to retain all our colleagues, team members together.

I would request my Linkedin friends to spare a thought to our Entrepreneur friends & Companies who have to file bankruptcy or shutdown as they just couldn't take the organisation any forward. It takes a lot of courage to shut down something that is created out of our passion. I will keep going till the time I can.
