Is "impact" becoming mainstream in startups?

2021 starts off with some very profound and emotional personal changes: Nearly ten years have I been a team member of Social Entrepreneurship Akademie with the mission of enabling entrepreneurial minds to shape a better world and solve the problems that matter. SEA is now made up by outstanding purpose-driven people and a unique set-up as a university network organization. We worked with more than 120 incredible #SocialVentures, trained several ten thousand students and entrepreneurs off- and online and built a thriving partner network across the Globe. To that end, I gave all my passion, entrepreneurial wit and energy.

Now, having returned from paternity leave, it is time for me to move on. I switched to an exciting new role at the LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (LMU IEC). The LMU IEC aims at promoting interdisciplinary and international dialogue between founders, researchers, universities and companies to find innovative answers to the societal challenges of our time.

What`s next? Be curious and stand by for our new Munich Global Impact Sprint (MGI) launch by February 1st.

In close collabortation with our Munich University Entrepreneurship Ecosystem partners @MucSummit @GermanEntrepreneurship @StraschegCenter @TUM Entrepreneurship we will initiate this unique international program to leverage the great transformative power of startups.

In that sense, impact and purpose-driven startups are becoming the rule and no longer the exception - good for #climate #health and #wellbeing.
