Impact in Action: Looking Back at a Pivotal Year for Social Responsibility

Electrify America has been laser-focused on rapidly deploying our electric vehicle charging network. At the same time, we have been resolute in growing our business in a socially responsible manner.?

It is not groundbreaking to recognize that the beginning of each year is a perfect time for reflection. But I truly believe looking back at last year’s accomplishments and areas for growth make for better businesses and make us better people. I have spent a lot of time thinking about our business – and our industry – in 2022, and while there is so much more, I know we can do, I am so proud of what we collectively accomplished, especially in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Our progress in building a company that is enabling electric transportation for all is reason to celebrate. However, our job is really just getting started.??

Building a fast-growing business, like the one we have developed over the last five years, does not automatically go hand in hand with building a responsible one. But Electrify America has put environmental and social responsibility at the core of everything we do from day one. I am so proud of the heightened CSR efforts our company has undertaken in this last year. We are not only laying the foundation to power an electric future, but we are also investing tens of millions of dollars in EV education, outreach and engagement to inspire even more people to consider driving electric.?

Today, we are excited to share our CSR strategy, investments, accomplishments and future opportunities in our second annual corporate social responsibility update. This look-back on last year’s efforts highlights the work we do across each of our four CSR pillars:

? Environmental sustainability: Backing our coast-to-coast charging network with 100% renewable energy?while driving sustainable innovation in everything we do.

? Community engagement: Investing locally in electric vehicle (EV) education, STEM support, workforce training and EV infrastructure to unlock the possibility of an electric future for all, regardless of where you live, work or play.

? Equity & diversity: Striving to infuse diversity and inclusion in everything we do, from our employee and supplier hiring practices to our volunteer efforts to creating an inclusive and inspiring company culture.

? Enabling electric transportation: Committing to making the world a more sustainable place by driving electric vehicle adoption through charging infrastructure, education and marketing.

Our ambition for an electric future – and the reduced tailpipe emissions that come with

it – is for every single person, no matter where you live, work or play to realize the benefits of driving electric. As our company matures and we continue to work toward environmental, social and governance (ESG) leadership, we are driven by a strong sense of purpose to be better each year than the last.?

As we look ahead, we understand the critical role Hyper-Fast charging stations will play in supporting electric vehicle adoption, and customer satisfaction remains our top priority. Earning the trust of our customers is our driving force and part of the company’s CSR journey, which we hope you join us on.?
