IMO Portfolio | Honghuang 70 Tokamak Assembly Finished
Recently, the overall installation of the Honghuang 70 Tokamak has been completed, marking the end of the device’s construction work.
The Honghuang 70 is the world’s first full high-temperature superconducting Tokamak device, and also the world’s first full superconducting Tokamak device developed and built by a commercial company. The design work of Honghuang 70 began in March 2022, and from September 2022, various parts and components have gradually entered the processing stage. The overall installation started in August 2023, and it has now been completed.
Energy Singularity completed the design, research and development, and construction of Honghuang 70 in two years, creating the fastest record for the development and construction of a global superconducting Tokamak device. Honghuang 70 will start the cooling of the magnet and the debugging operation to achieve plasma discharge as soon as possible.
